This Is Not a Ketubah Is Not For Everyone

We believe everyone should only make the one thing they’re amazing at, and nothing more, and nothing less. So if you aren’t interested in the one little thing we’re amazing at, then it doesn’t make sense for us to work together! We are, in other words, not the right Ketubah partner for everyone.

We do the only one type of Ketubah that we’re amazing at — high-quality, modern-style Ketubot — and that’s it.

There’s just lots that we don’t even try to do. We don’t do Papercut Ketubot, for example. We don’t do the traditional-looking Ketubot of the type my bubbe has. We do one thing, and we do it every well, and don’t even try anything else.

But… what if someone wants a Ketubah that is of a totally different style? We don’t even try to do them, because we just focus, laser-like, on the one type of Ketubah we’re best at.

In those cases, we heartily recommend Ketubah Gallery and Jessy Judaica. These two online Ketubah and Judaica stores, both based in Toronto, we’re big fans of for a few reasons, including:

• They have a wonderful combination of professionalism and warmth. They are on top of their game, plus just really good people we have enjoyed talking to.
• They have a great selection of many Ketubot of the types of Ketubot that we don’t do.

Here at This Is Not a Ketubah, we are new and young and we aim to have this combination of variety, professionalism, and just a wonderful attitude that they both have.

More broadly, we here at This Is Not a Ketubah tend to be cheesy types and love silly cliches, among them: if you try to be everything to everyone, you will end up being nothing to no one. For the particular type of Ketubot we do — ones inspired by modern art and great modern artists — we are very proud of our work; and for any other type of Ketubah, ask Ketubah Gallery or Jessy Judaica.
